The hydro-trip pressure sub provides a means to set

Hydraulically actuated tools by applying the

tubing pressure required for activation.

Setting is achieved by circulating a ball to a

seat in the sub and applying sufficient pressure

to activate the setting mechanism in the tool.

Further pressure is applied to the ball, shearing

brass screws and sending the ball down the tubing.

Following setting, the sub provides an open bore

for passage of drop balls or wireline equipment.
